KALAHI-CIDSS

The Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive & Integrated Delivery of Social Services is the Philippine government's flagship poverty-alleviation project implemented by the Department of Social Welfare & Development with funding support from the World Bank. Assistance is extended to poor Local Government Units (LGUs) whose approved projects are directly managed, supervised and monitored by the villagers themselves. Given the lengthy list of worthy project proposals, there is a felt need to seek funding augmentation from the overseas Filipino donor community.
